Do you want to see an up to date Product Sales list as you transact every day. Then using a running total is the solution to your problem. A running total is the summation of a sequence of numbers which is updated each time a new number is added to the sequence, simply by adding the value of the new number to the running total.
Below we demonstrate how to add a Product Sales Running Total.
Applies To: MS Excel 2010
- Select cell E2 as per screen shot above
- Enter the following formula : =SUM($D$2:D2)
- Select the data range E2:E24
- Select the Home Tab-Editing group
- Then select as per screen shot below
