The directors of Alchemex (Pty) Ltd are pleased and proud to advise that Alchemex was acquired by Softline, effective October 1, 2011. From this date, Alchemex became part of Softline and the Sage Group plc.
Sage views this as a strategic acquisition to address the burgeoning need for Business Intelligence in the Small and Mid-Sized customer base world-wide, and we are particularly encouraged by the opportunity that being part of the Sage Group holds. This is a major milestone in our mission to make our reporting software the BI product of choice in the SME market worldwide.
As of 1 October 2011, the executive leadership of Alchemex joined the Sage Group to drive the business. Gary Boddington will continue to drive efforts in North America as the VP and General Manager of Alchemex, based in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, while Charles Teversham will continue in his role as Managing Director in South Africa. The rest of the executive team will remain unchanged as will our vision, values and the way we do business.
The directors and staff of Alchemex look forward to leveraging the skills, experience and expertise that we have gained from working with Sage business units and channel partners globally.
