How the Report Designer Add-in makes Sage 100 ERP Intelligence Reporting Smarter

The last six months has seen significant enhancements to the Sage Intelligence Reporting module for Sage 100 ERP which have been embraced by Sage partners and customers alike.

Reporting Trees and Report Distribution functionality introduced the ability to cater for organizational reporting by allowing financial information to be filtered by appropriate region or department and for seamless, fully unattended scheduling  and distribution of reports to people in an organization in a format of choice.  But it’s been the latest introduction of the Report Designer Add-in that has seen a barrage of interest and adoption. Feedback like Brigitte Didier’s from Client’s First Business Solutions has been flooding in to Sage Alchemex team members: “This Add-in has totally redeemed SMI as a viable replacement for FRx.  I think it gives F9 and Biznet some fierce competition.  I found it easy to learn and extremely flexible. The best part is you don’t have to spend hours re-working reports when a new GL account is added to chart of accounts.”

How exactly does the Add-in make Sage 100 ERP Intelligence Reporting smarter?

The Report Designer is an existing component of Intelligence Reporting that allows you to fast track the building of powerful financial reports via the Layout Generator which provides an easy-to-use, drag-and-drop interface to allow for flexible financial reporting with multi-level groupings according to your unique business needs.

Should your reporting needs change frequently however, requiring you to change designs and logic often, the Report Designer Add-In, released at Sage Summit earlier this year, presents an alternative to the Layout Generator to empower you to take even more control of the design aspects of your reporting layouts. The Add-in provides drag-and-drop Excel financial formulas which communicate with a new In-Memory processing engine for brilliant performance and greatly enhanced flexibility. Creating Multi-year and Multi-budget financial reports is quick and easy using the simple drag and drop options. You can also easily control the way your accounts roll up using ranges and arithmetic, allowing you to present the required level of detail in your reports. A cash flow statement is provided and can be used as a template to model your own cash flow report unique to your business.

Exciting news is that the Add-in will be rolled out to Sage 300 ERP and Sage 500 ERP by February 2013, making Intelligence Reporting for these ERP packages that much smarter too!

But don’t just take our word for it; see what others have to say:
