In my previous blogs I have spent time looking at the pros and cons of Online Training vs. Instructor Led Classroom Training. Regardless of which manner of training you choose you will always have additional questions that need to be asked when you begin to use your product.
Making use of an online forum is an additional way to gain better skills within your product. A forum can’t take the place of online training but rather adds to the learning that has been gained during the training course.
A forum allows you to post your question onto an area where every other forum member has the ability to comment on or answer your question. This has huge advantages in that you now have the experience of many other users at your fingertips.
In using the forum you also feel like you have joined a “community” of people that you can share various aspects of the product with. Using the forum becomes a bit like social networking as you get to know the other members.
So my advice this week is to logon and sign up!
