On October 1, 2011, Alchemex was acquired by Softline, part of the Sage Group plc. Ten years before, the 3 founding members, Gary Boddington, Charles Teversham and Darryl Smith, had dreamed of this day as they worked in a garage in the stifling heat of summer in Durban, South Africa. Notwithstanding the outstanding product they developed, their belief, mutual respect and shared values helped them build a business that is today recognized as a leading business intelligence (BI) software vendor.
