Contractors, now there’s a better way to get the business reports you need

Sage 100 Contractor Intelligence Reporting

The good news is true – Sage Intelligence Reporting is now available for Sage 100 Contractor, now there’s a better way to get the business reports you need.  Now you can analyze your data and customize reports by pulling real-time data from Sage 100 Contractor with a click of a button into preformatted Excel report templates. Your days of copying and pasting data into Excel spreadsheets or adjusting your rechecking your formulas are long gone.   Intelligence Reporting enables you to make more informed decisions using current information, organized in the way you need to see your business information so you can keep projects moving forward and on schedule. You also have immediate visibility and confidence that the formulas and the way information rolls ups are accurate and reflect how you need to see your information.

Sage 100 Contractor Intelligence Reporting, as it’s called, works within a secure environment so that each team member can view only the reports to which they have been granted access.  The type of reports you can create and distribute can use the out-of-the box (standard) report templates, or you can modify these templates to create custom reports, or even easily create your own financial or operational reports from scratch.

Standard construction and contractor reports

Intelligence Reporting comes with sixteen out-the-box report templates that give you immediate insight into and across your business. The reports are fully customizable and flexible with drill-down capabilities. The changes you make to them can be saved back to the report as a template file so that you don’t have to make them again the next time you run the report. You can access them at any time or have them delivered, real-time, from your Sage 100 Contractor software to Excel, in the format of your choice. It’s as simple as that!

Here’s an example.  With a simple click of a button you can view your Committed Costs with Costs to Complete report including additional views like Open projects with Subcontract and PO, among others.

Other examples of standard report templates that you can use “as is” or modify to fit your business include Job Billing Summary, Job Cost Summary, Job Status Report, Bonding Report,  Service Receivables, Estimated Work Order Profitability and Service Invoice Aging reports.

How does it work?

It’s better to see a demo to really visualize this great tool, but let me just say that creating the type of reports you need is as simple as dragging-and dropping lists and formulas into your reports or applying filters to limit the rows of data you want to see.

Overall, Intelligence Reporting is designed to improve decision-making for anyone on your team, whether they view and configure their own reports, or benefit from receiving the reports you distribute – which, by the way, you can schedule to distribute whenever you need them to, in the format of your choice.
