The Report Designer In-Memory technology has been deployed across the Sage 100, 300 and 500 ERP products for over 18 months and has been a game changer for our product; we’ve received amazing feedback from our both customers and partners – take a look at what they have to say about it and at the five features and improvements to look forward to in this release below.

5 Major League Features and Improvements to Look Forward to In This Release:

  1. Performance
The powerful In-Memory technology enables users to quickly and easily report on large data volumes using formulas inside Excel which interact with it to allow for a fast and flexible financial reporting experience.
  2. Flexibility
Users can leverage powerful row sets to define their own repository of reusable, customized reporting rows based on account rules using ranges, wildcards and exclusions to speed up report design and maintenance, resulting in complete control over the level of detail in reports. The 100% native use of Excel allows users to leverage existing skills and existing Excel spreadsheets and to remain in control of how reports are formatted, making the design and maintenance of financial reports and financial packs much faster and easier.
  3. Scalability
The new solution now caters for reporting on multiple fiscal years as well as multiple charts of account, multiple ledgers, multiple companies and multiple sites ensuring that it scales to and leverages the Sage ERP X3 functionality for financials. The report template also caters for reporting on multiple budget codes and budget versions across all available dimensions, meaning that a user can instantaneously change between various forecast sets and versions.
  4. Ease of Use
A single financial report now allows for reporting on both financial and analytical (dimensional) data in a single layout, ensuring a simple and clean user experience. A simple right click drill-down option from within Excel further extends accessibility and visibility into balance and transactional information on demand, allowing users to stay within Excel for their complete financial reporting experience.

Users have two options for creating financial report layouts based on their personal preference.

a)      Layout Generator:

  • Aimed at novice Excel users.
  • Provides a wizard type experience to get users up and running immediately via a suite of out the box financial layouts that ship with the solution.
  • All provided layouts can be further edited via the intuitive drag-and-drop interface, making this the quickest and easiest way to generate your financial layouts required.
