In the past few weeks I have been watching some of my colleagues, at all levels, in a bit of frenzy over the Sage brand changes. It has been quite eventful, and will be so seemingly until December this year. With Sage officially acquiring Alchemex in October last year, it means that Alchemex is fully involved in the brand changes as our software is integrated with Sage Peachtree, Sage Simply, Sage ERP MAS, Sage ERP Accpac, Sage PFW ERP – which are all being renamed.
Alchemex is re-branding for two reasons:
- To be branded as a Sage company and product
- To be in line with the name changes that Sage products are undertaking
This video explains why Sage has decided to re-name its products

Some of the items that need to be considered for re-branding include the following.
Basically, Alchemex will not be the same after this. What do I think?
When I first learned of Sage, I was immediately impressed with its look and feel, especially on its websites. The lively colours and images, and the clean, simple layouts wowed me. In essence, I’m quite ecstatic about the brand changes Alchemex will undertake!
The re-brand means that all Sage products will be consistent, sealing Alchemex into the global Sage family. From a cosmetic sense, Alchemex will get a fresher look and feel across marketing collateral and open up access to new resources. I see no reason not to be excited about it!
